Hardscape Design & Installation
A landscape design plan often includes hardscaping elements. If the landscaping is the softer items, such as shrubs, trees, and plants, the hardscape is the harder elements. Both work together to create a cohesive and attractive outdoor area that enhances aesthetics, usability, and curb appeal.
Some of the most popular hardscape options include:
- Retaining walls – A retaining wall helps to prevent soil erosion, allows you to make better use of your space, and adds an interesting design element to your landscape. There are many options for brick, natural stone, and garden retaining walls.
- Patios – The patio creates the perfect place to relax or entertain. Paver patios offer better curb appeal, greater durability, and increased property value. You can choose from a wide variety of natural stone pavers to create the desired effect.
- Pool decks – The swimming pool is always a focal point of the yard. You can enhance the pool area and create additional room for entertaining with an attractive pool deck.
- Built-in grills and outdoor kitchens – If you plan on entertaining in the yard, a built-in grill or outdoor kitchen creates an attractive hardscape element and a place for feeding your family and friends.
- Outdoor fireplaces and firepits – Adding an outdoor fireplace or fire pit allows you to enjoy your outdoor areas even on chilly nights. The options are nearly limitless for building custom-designed hardscape elements for your patio.
- Walkways – Pavers are an excellent choice for walkways and pathways. Natural stone pathways make it easy to move from one area to another and enhance the appearance of your landscape.
- Paver driveways – The driveway takes up a large area of your property and plays a big part in the curb appeal of your home. Driveway pavers are extremely durable, low maintenance, and available in nearly limitless options for color, shape, size, and type of stone.
- Fountains and water features – A fountain or water feature creates a unique element and focal point in the yard. These can be custom-designed to suit your preferences.
Once you have decided on the hardscape features you want for your landscape, you will need to select the materials. There are a wide variety of colors, sizes, and types of natural stone that are great for hardscaping in Canyon Country. Some of the most popular natural stone materials include clay pavers, travertine, bluestone, granite, and limestone. Concrete is an attractive and budget-friendly alternative to natural stone that produces beautiful results.

For this project, l decided to deal with only ONE contractor, to remove the trees, fix the yard drainage ( clogged with roots), and paver the whole area. The two other companies l called said No and said l also need to hire a tree removal crew, hire a Rooter, etc. Plus their quotes were even higher! Sanchez took one look then said he will do ALL of it then gave the LOWEST quote! They showed up on time, had all the equipment( l am a tool buff myself) & cleaned after themselves, and each worker did the assigned task well: l work from home so I could watch them work..on their last day. the Foreman even fixed a sagging metal gate, without being told! Now, That is pride in workmanship. I will recommend them anytime.

Hector and his crew, including Luis, Felipe, and Kevin, did a great job transforming our overgrown backyard "garden" area into an awesome play place/adult hang out place including demo, pavers, dg, lights, bocce court, and turf. Hector was always available by text or phone, provided a detailed estimate, and rolled with some project changes we had. The guys cleaned up every day and were always available to answer any questions. Love the transformation!

Once the project began, I was extremely happy with the foreman Luis, who had a great sense of customer service and always listened to my concerns/ideas and made sure to take action. Throughout this project, we encountered challenges related to material inventory (Covid related) and last-minute changes that I made. Throughout it all, Hector and Luis, kept a great attitude and always kept my satisfaction top of mind. The project scope involved building a custom pergola, installing an irrigation system, pavers, turf, planting mature trees, and lighting.

From the first time Hector came to my house, I got a good, honest vibe from him. He provided an estimate a few days later and it was reasonable given the work being done.
He started the job right on time and finished a day or two earlier than estimated. His crew was always on time, polite, respectful, and cleaned up thoroughly each day. Communication was excellent All around with any questions or approvals that were needed.Jason H. -
We used Sanchez Landscape for our backyard after they did work on my brother-in-law's yard. Had great communication with Hector and the job was completed quickly with AMAZING results. We added additional items while the work was being completed and they had no problems completing them. They added artificial turf, decomposed granite, concrete, gas line, mulch, soil, privet trees, poles, and lights.

This summer, much of the grass died out, and Hector sent his crew out twice to try reseeding. Neither of these took, so the crew recently resodded the entire backyard again. I appreciated that they did this - many companies wouldn't care to do that. At all points, it's been clear that the company cares about the quality of the work and the craftsmanship that goes with it.

The little thing that we appreciated. 1. They picked up after themselves at the end of each day. 2. They pick up and moved some heavy planters for me from the backyard to the front. 3. I could always ask one of his guy's simple questions; i.e- When do you think you will get all the lines in by? Please note: Hector was always available by phone/text or email for questions. 4. The very detailed estimate/contract.
